Privacy policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
Shrinkshot is made by James Schay. This policy covers this website, shrinkshot.com, and the game. In short: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking. The game keeps your progress on your own device.
What stays on your device
The game saves your settings, controls, toy unlocks, levels, blaster skills and power-up levels in your browser's local storage. That data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it. If you enter the playtest password, a cookie remembers it so you don't have to type it again.
Online play
When you play online, the name you type and your moves in the match (position, aim, shots and score) are sent to the game server and shared with the other players in your room. Rooms don't keep any of it after they close.
Server logs and error reports
The site and game servers run on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the pages and keep them secure. If the game hits an error, it sends a short report with the error message and the mode and map you were playing, so bugs can be fixed. These logs are kept only for a short time and are not used to identify you.
In-game feedback
If you use Send feedback in the game, your rating, your answers, the email address you choose to add (it's optional), the game version, your screen size and frame rate, and the map you were on are stored so the game can be improved. An email is used only to reply to you. Ask through the support page to have your feedback deleted.
Fonts
The site and game load their fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers to download them. See Google's privacy policy.
Support messages
If you write in through the support page, your email address and message are sent through Formspree and used only to answer you.
